Thermometers

A thermometer is a device that measures temperature or temperature gradients (how hot or cold an object is). A thermometer has two important elements. And some means of translating this change into a number (e.g. a visible scale marked on a glass mercury thermometer, or a digital display in an infrared model). Thermometers are widely used in technology and industry to monitor processes in meteorology, medicine, and scientific research.
