Plastic Sterile inoculation loop with streaker tip. Overall length is 8 inches. They are wrapped in sterile packs. Middle section or handle is textured for better grip. The loop capacity is 1 micro liters.
One microliter is such a small amount of liquid that cannot be measured using the measuring laboratory tools such as a pipette. This is where you need a high precision innoculating loop. When inserted in water or any water based liquid, it forms a thin film that is exactly one micro liter.
Innoculating loop is very important in biology experiments when you need bacteria count. You count the bacteria in one micro liter and then multiply it by 1000 to calculate the bacteria count per mililiter.
