Product Description
Xanthan gum is a unique hydrocolloid with exceptional rheological behaviour. It is a creamy white powder that dissolves readily in hot or cold water to form highly viscous, colloidal solutions, suspensions or gels at low concentrations.
Xanthan gum is used as a stabiliser, emulsifier, thickener, suspending agent and bodying agent in food applications such as salad dressings, sauces, instant products, desserts, bakery dairy products, and fruit juices as well as in the formation of various low-calorie foods. Cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications of xanthan gum include the use in tooth pastes, lotions, shampoos and formulations such as tablets. Typical industrial applications of xanthan gum is the use in cleaners, paints, ceramic glazes, inks and oil drilling fluids.

We don't offer COA for our products. The viscosity of 1% XG in 1% solution of KCl is 1400 to 1600 cps. If you need lower viscosity you may use less than 1% in your formulation. The same way you can use more than 1% if you need higher viscosity.
General Information:
Xanthan gum exhibits extraordinary and useful properties, for example high viscosity at low concentrations, little change in viscosity at varying temperatures, and excellent stability over a wide pH range. It also provides good freeze-thaw stability and shows remarkable suspension characteristics.
