Potassium Nitrate, 99.8%, Refined, Prills
This refined grade of potassium nitrate (KNO3) is especially suitable for customers requiring strict levels of purity. Product PN1439P is supplied in prilled form with a guaranteed potassium nitrate purity of 99.8% minimum. It has low chloride content of 0.03% maximum, sulfate below 0.02%, insolubles below 0.02%, and contains no anticaking agent. The product consists of white, odorless, free-flowing prills that dissolve readily in water, with solubility increasing sharply as temperature rises. It is suitable for glass and frit manufacturing, metal treatment and heat treatment, general chemical processing and synthesis, laboratory reagent applications, oxidizer and pyrotechnic compositions, and heat-transfer or thermal energy storage salt blends. Potassium nitrate is not flammable by itself but is a strong oxidizer that releases oxygen when heated and can accelerate combustion of combustible materials.
