APPLICATIONS:
Used as a dye in plastics. Excellent for PS and PMMA. May be used for HIPS, ABS, PC, RPVC, SAN, AS, PA6, but not recomended for PET.
Also used for coating,printing ink,particularly for the coloring of the petroleum products,such as coloring separation of petroleum products.
Solvent red 27 is a lysochrome (fat-soluble dye) diazo dye used for staining of neutral triglycerides and lipids on frozen sections and some lipoproteins on paraffin sections. It has the appearance of a red powder with an absorbance maxima at 518 nanometers.
When staining, Oil Red O can make fat more visible in various cuts in pathology.
