Yellow Sulfur Powder

Yellow Sulfur Powder is a finely milled elemental sulfur powder with a minimum purity of 99.5%. This yellow powder is insoluble in water, so it can only be prepared in water as a suspension or mixture rather than as a true solution. Elemental sulfur of this type is recovered during natural gas processing, solidified into flake form, and then ground into a fine powder.

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is not available for this product. This product is sold only in the listed package sizes and is not available for bulk purchase.

Caution:

Sulfur is insoluble in water. Only suspensions or mixtures can be prepared in water. Solid sulfur powder has a low flammability rating comparable to wood and does not ignite easily in bulk form. Avoid creating or exposing sulfur dust to ignition sources. Burning sulfur is not recommended because combustion releases sulfur dioxide, a toxic gas. Use appropriate ventilation, protective equipment, and handling procedures.
