Industrial grade water soluble blue dye, Acid Blue 9,
is commonly used for the coloration of cleaning products, soaps, detergents, cellulosic materials, paper, wood, silk, nylon fibers, wool, leather, biological stains, semi-permanent hair dyes, and color depositing shampoo and conditioner.
pH Stability: Most stable in a wide range of pH 3-12. In pH < 3 (acidic products) the dye tends to turn green. In pH > 12 (high alkalinity) the dye tends to turn pink.
Usage Rate: Most commonly used at 0.0001 – 1.0% by weight.
