This is a magnetic levitation project for assembling, experimenting and demonstrating magnetic forces. Since similar poles repel each other, you may stack a number of magnets and the repelling force will keep them floating. This special kit contains stronger magnets so that the repelling distance will be more.
The fact that magnets can repel has given birth to many industrial applications including magnetic levitating trains that can travel at high speeds with no noise.
Magnetic floating rings work like a spring. You push them down and they will jump back up as soon as you release them.
