USP grade potassium iodide may be used in manufacturing potassium iodide tablets or food supplements.
Each adult dosage is 135 mg. On ounce of potassium iodide is equivalent to 207 adult doses. Actual purity is 100% (dried).
This product is repacked from larger containers of Potassium Iodide, USP, Crystal grade and a typical analysis is bellow:
Loss on drying: 0.2% (Specs:<1%)
Iodate: < 0.0004%
Heavy metals: < 0.001%
Assay: 99% - 101.5% (dried)
When converted to daily dose adult tablets of 135 milligrams, each pound of potassium iodide produces more than 3000 tablets.
