Bar Magnets Bar Magnet, Painted, ALNICO5 Great educational tools: to explain N and S poles you need these bar magnets. Hang one from a string and you have a compass. Throw in a globe and it's a lesson. Unlike rare earths, these ALNICOs are not a pinch hazard. Alnico can fracture if dropped.
