Optical demonstration set is used to demonstrate, experiment and make observations of how lenses can diverge or converge light. This set includes a lase ray box with 3 different settings, power adapter, cylindrical concave lens, cylindrical convex lens, prism, semi-circle optical block, trapezoid block, rectangle block, hollow semi circular block, mirror and charts. All the above materials are organized in carved foam in an aluminum alloy case.
The ray box and all lenses and mirror are equipped with magnets at their bottom side so that they can be mounted on any magnetic board for classroom demonstrations. When used on a flat surface such as a table you will not need a magnetic surface. The ray box creates narrow vertical columns of light similar to the light passing through the slits in old design ray boxes. The 3 different settings allow having one, 3 or 5 light beams. The raybox adapter can be used with 110 Volt up to 230 volts AC.
The hollow semi circular block is used to test the light refraction in liquids. Different liquids or different concentration of liquids have different refractive indexes. Set up your own refractometer to distinguish different liquids or to determine their concentration.
This is not a toy and must only be used by professional users or in a classroom setting.
